In march 2010 whilst photographing the Vuelta a' Murcia I met Bradley Wiggins. We seem to hit it off pretty much straight away, we share a passion for Mod culture, scooters, northern soul and the haircuts of course.
6 weeks before the Tour de France I got a tweet from Brad asking for my mobile number, as it turned out he wanted me to go along to the the Tour and photograph what he goes through at the biggest cycling race in the world. He asked me because I'm not a sports photographer and wanted a new fresh approach.
I headed out to Rotterdam with my assistant not really sure what I was getting into, prob just as well. The next 3 weeks where the hardest photo assignment I have ever been on, but the best as well.
From struggling to get a hotel, some nights we would drive over 100km to find one, dealing with not having a press pass and the logistics of just getting around. Oh and that bloody sat nav!
The result of our endeavours are to be found in On Tour Bradley Wiggins. The book is brilliantly written and Bradley is so candid throughout, my pictures are reproduced pretty poorly to be honest but I am still proud of it.
I am now selling prints, a very limited number of first edition prints will be signed, then a short numbered edition thereafter.
